Atmospheric camping on Terschelling
Camping de Kooi is centrally located on the island of Terschelling. The campground lies spacious and peacefully amid forest and dunes and next to a dune lake with bathing facilities. The campsite has good sanitary facilities with free showers and hot water. We carefully considerate the ages of the children when arranging the camping site so that new friendships are easily made. We always try to incorporate your wishes as best we can into your camping site, so that your camping experience will be optimal. For the adult camper there are special fields.
Not only the campsite, but also the surrounding area offers you and the children many opportunities to have fun. We divide the fields according to the age of the children so that they make friends quickly and the rhythm is similar. In the middle, the fields for sports and games remain free. Various activities are organized on and around the campsite during the summer holidays.

Surroundings and location
The campsite lies at the foot of the twenty meters high Arjensdune from where you have a splendid view on the surroundings. You can see the North Sea as well as World Heritage Site the Wadden Sea from here. The campgrounds verges on natural monument ‘De Kooibosjes’ and on the dune lake of Hee which has bathing facilities. The shallow side of the lake is demarcated by a float line where the little children can play safely.
The distance from the campsite to West-Terschelling is 4,5 km andto the village of Midsland two km. The beach and the Wad are at a ten minutes bike ride.
Facilities
Camping de Kooi has good sanitary provisions with -among others- familyshowers, a baby bathroom and a launderette. The wifi on the campsite is free of charge.
There are two nice playgrounds for the children, as well as two volleyballfields and football goals. During the summer holidays we organise several fun activities for young and old.
